PDF Converter Agent
Whilst it is often imperative that documents remain in their original format so that officers can manipulate or amend them, it is not particularly desirable for members of the public to be able to manipulate copies of the documents. What is required is a secure document format that is considered industry standard.
DEF's PDF Converter Agent had been designed to facilitate the flow of electronic documents from the back office to a public facing web front end. Many authorities store working documents in a variety of disparate formats such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, JPEG and TIFF. Many of these documents are in the public domain and so are offered to the public through authorities own web sites. The PDF Converter Agent consolidates formats and secures the data.
