Legal Agreements
The DEF Legal Agreements module was developed in conjunction with a Local Government Steering Group with a view to delivering the de facto solution for Section 106 Agreements (S106).
The solution is a product which can monitor an agreement from discussion stage at the very beginning right the way through to completion when all monies have been paid and all obligations met. It is part of the MasterGov suite of applications and can be used in conjunction with the DEF Development Control module as well as stand-alone.
The Legal Agreements module is able to monitor payments which are due to the Council as well as payments which the council has to make. Sometimes a developer may be obliged to provide a service for the council, yet this can still be monitored by the module even though no money is being exchanged.
Legal Agreements is able to keep track of all the pre-agreement information including 'heads of terms' which contribute to the S106. Details of any correspondence can be scanned and held against the agreement and a contact list can be created to keep interested parties informed of any progress.
